TWD Hungarian Shortbread

so another recipe is due and what did i do? forget what week it was! lol, here it is the 1st, though, and i got this done just in time.


a pound of butter went into this. rich shortbread, and yummy. i didn’t have the right pan, so i tried 2 loaf pans.


frozen dough. 🙂


i tried to grate with my processor. it didn’t work at all 😦 now i need a new one!



so, grating the old fashioned way. well, i grated the first one and my hubby grated the second. it looks pretty. i used a sugar free strawberry jam.


first one on the plate. it fell apart.


i let the second cook longer.


and i let it cool in the loaf pan.


so, ignoring the way they look, they sure do taste good! 🙂

maybe this next week will go smoother than my last 2 have.

    Sugar free jam is a good choice. I made a cranberry jam with reduced sugar. Sorry your loaf pans did not work for you. At least you liked them!
